Christmas card for the group

Inspired again

this card was sent to work. It inspired with a nifty idea. Run the card through the cuttlebug with an impossing folder and then cut out a rectangle in the middle and put picture in it like a frame. You cant really see the embossed area but it is so light but it is there.

I still love the picture of the light house too

Barbaras and Kims Bday Card

Here is the card I made for Barbara.

The card was 11.5x 5.5

I trimmed a piece of card stock off the front. I glued some patterend paper on it and punched out two circles on 1.5 and one 1.25 I stamped happy birthday on the 1.25 glued it to the bigger circle and glued the bigger circle to fall off the cover. I used a border embossing folder and ran it through the cuttle bug machine. for some extra pow

I used the embossing folder and die cut with the peacock from cuttle bug. It came with the frame too.



Here is the card conner made for Aunt Kim. He wanted to put a lot of details to it. Meaning stamping and punching. He liked that stuff!

Moms Birthday Card

This card is made from 6 squares run through the cuttlebug machine with the embossing folder it came with. Then I used metal paste and rubbed blue metal on it. Then I glue sticked it down to the white card stock. Then I used the square brads in the corners.

notice it is my three favorite colors! Ha. so is the striped card!

Striped Card Challenge

The snow man and trees are a cuttlebug die cut and embossing folder. The bottom has Martha Stewart course glitter. Inside has light blue vellum paper. I got the idea from a wedding invitation I found laying on the ground while we were in charleston in November.

Easter crafts

I made these a long time ago and found them in my photo folder. I wanted to share.

Candy bottle. The secret is to cut a slit in the bottle where the wrapper covers over it so you can stick candy in there, that would not normal fit into the neck of the bottle



Paddle and ball
The secret to this one is to get a paddle and ball that ties not stapled like the old wood ones. I found this at the dollar tree.

I put stick paper on it. I dont have a exact pattern. I traced it and scanned it about 95% and it seemed to work out just fine.

The secret to the nuggets are avery address labels. The perfect fit.

October Swap

Here is the October Swap. The them was Scarecrow. I found a color page on the internet and printed in watercolor printer paper. I used the new water color paint set I got from Hobby lobby. It was the pans and not the tube. Very easy to use and compact and not a lot of stuff like you need for the tubes. I added some yarn and that was all there was to it. I think it is kind of cute.

Water Color Doodle

I doodled a water color of Raggedy Ann while watching Dancing with the Stars yesterday. Wait you so observantly noticed. Dancing with the Stars is not on Thursday. Oh but the Magic of DVR say it is. With instant replays and the go forward button like Mr. Monk says.

My mother asked me why I was doing what I was doing. I told her it was the same reason she plays the slots on pogo. Cause I want to.

Favorite picture to draw

This is probably my favorite picture to draw. I draw it a lot. It came from cleo christmas wrapping paper of all things. The bow was red though. I made it light blue and gave it a bit of sparkle with glitter. This card was for a dot challenge in a card making group I belong to on yahoo.

Turn it over and this is what it looks like from the inside. The plain orange is what had the flower and the diamond of shape with the owl on it. It closes over the patterned orange paper with the circle. The patterned orange with the circle does open up. It is to long to show it opened though

This is Septembers swap card. I am once again behind on creating it. It is due to be mailed by wednesday. I havent started on my. I thought about it though. Blue card stock, cream paper and a shell stamp. I have water color painting tonight so I probably will not work on it after. To much to think about after painting !



This is another tutorial on card making that I am thinking about using the same colors and the same stamp. I think it will even look better. It isnt the swap this month. What a shame!
It is done by the same lady, thats how I found it.

Painting

I have had four water color paint classes. Love it dont want to stop. I signed up for another four classes.

The lady is funny. She says to get the essence of what you see and you dont have to be precise... you artistic license.

Then she tells me I am missing a flower. Butterfly is to big. Pail is to dark.. then she draws on my work.

Let me do it. Its mine!!!!!!

The butterfly one has the potential to being a great painting but I have a feeling it will be great till I paint the dark part of the butterfly. That is where I will screw it up.

Since I have two butteflies ... because the first one was to big and the flower was missing I might practice on that.
